London Gliding Club

views

Almost as remarkable as the quiet is the view.

With your head in a transparent perspex canopy, gliders offer spectacular visibility - if you can bend your neck far enough you can even see behind you!

When the visibilty is good you can see for miles - along the edge of the Chilterns, down to Canary Wharf and sometimes past Leighton Buzzard. Even on hazy days the view is spectacular - the sense of depth compounded as hills and fields march to the horizon.

And this visual masterpiece doesn't stop once you return to earth, as the gliding club has a spectacular view.
